It really seems like the Christmas season slump is not going away in this house. Just when we were getting back into the swing of things, my 4 year old's schedule was disrupted briefly. So as we're getting him back on track, I found a broken tooth in my mouth which led to a root canal. The night after the root canal, my face swelled so badly it looked like I had a baseball in my cheek and a golfball under my eye. After having an oral surgeon make an incision in my gumline and starting a regimen of two antibiotics, I am finally on the mend. Funny how my face hurts more now that the swelling is down than it did when this all started.
Next weekend, I think we are planning on trying out a new church that I am very excited about. We have not been able to connect with a church in our town yet and I'm hoping that we'll be able to. Of course, we're getting ready to move, but we'll see how it all pans out in the end.
Let's hope that this week proves to be a "normal" week for us...and that naptime comes fast for us too, because nothing is waking me up today.
