Hallie's Six Month Update
I am running behind on Hallie's six month update. I am definitely trying to catch up on my blog posts one at a time. :-)
When August 3rd hit, I really couldn't believe that we are halfway through Hallie's first year. I'm serious when I say it seems like last week I was miserably pregnant. So, here we are!

Current statistics:
~Height/weight unknown as her appointment isn't until the 17th. (If I had to guess, around 26 inches and 16 lbs.)
~Exclusively breastfed, aside from when she helps herself by stealing food from my plate.
~Finally exclusively in cloth diapers. Yay!
Current milestones:
~Hallie mastered unsupported sitting up a week after her 5 month birthday.
~She babbles. A LOT. She's quite the chatterbox these days. :-)
~She doesn't really seem that interested in crawling. And I'm okay with that. Only one time have I seen her get up on her hands and knees.
~While sitting and playing with toys, she tries to bend to reach for things.
~She has shifted her sleep schedule to a 10:30/11:00 p.m. bedtime, waking 2-3 times to nurse, and sleeping until around 11:30 the next morning. Then she's usually ready for a nap by 3 or 4. Obviously, not an ideal schedule, but I don't sleep train my babies. It also works out so I can get some homeschooling done in the morning and the rest of the day is freetime. It works for us. :-)
~Still no teeth!
Things Hallie loves:
~She still loves sleeping next to daddy.
~Sleeping late into the morning.
~Big Brother Avery making her laugh.
~Drumming on things.

You will notice so many different changes as she gets older. When I had my first child I was so concerned that she wasn't on target doing this or should be doing that. They ALL eventually do the things they should and everything was fine! She sounds like a healthy little girl!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how fast the little ones grow? It seems like just yesterday I brought my son home from the hospital. Now he's 2 and a half!
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that the schedule that works best for the family is the best schedule to have. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie!!
awwww she's getting soo big! Adrienne still only has two teeth! I am perfectly ok with that as it doesn't seem to slow her down any from eating all the foods we eat and she still nurses like a champ.
