Talking Tunes by Kelly Donovan {Children's Music Review}
{Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this review. I'm mentioning a product that we use in our household on a regular basis.}
Talking Tunes is a breath of fresh air in the children's music market. I don't think I've ever found a children's album that I enjoy as much as my kids. As a mother of 3- and 4-year-olds, Kelly knows that childhood is about learning, loving, and having fun. Kelly Donovan has put her heart and love into writing songs for little ones.
These songs aren't just about dancing and having fun, but they are written to help children with speech problems. Kelly has written this music under the guidance of speech pathologist Dr. Diane Dynes. This can be beneficial to children who have ADD, ADHD, Autism, and other disorders. I can testify to this myself, as I have a child with delay in his fine motor skills. When Matthew and I do his occupational therapy exercises at home, he loves to incorporate Kelly's music in our sessions.
Avery is my sweet 3-year-old little boy. I call him a teddy bear because of how much he loves to cuddle. One of his favorite things to do is to sing Kelly's songs with me at bedtime. He loves "My Dinosaur" and "Goodnight Sun" the most. With this music, we've had so many bonding moments that I'll always cherish as my babies grow up. Since we live out in the country, we have so many long van rides to places whether it's to get groceries or to visit friends and family. We love to listen to "Jump Up" and "Fly to the Moon" the most. It makes car rides go faster.

I Bet My Girls Would LOVE This Thank You!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like something we'd enjoy too, although thank God we don't see any signs of development issues. But music is great for kids, I've been playing music to my daughter ever since she was in the womb and I like to think it greatly contributed to her development.
ReplyDeleteI think my kids would enjoy this too!! :) Going to check it out!!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it'll be perfect for my youngest when she's a bit older. As she's only 4 months right now I don't know if she'd benefit or appreciate it much. Then again she has taken a liking to certain music I listen to, so maybe?
ReplyDeleteI've always loved music even when I was really young. I am positive my mom would have loved this when we were growing up! Thanks for sharing!
