Toy Review: FurReal Friends Get Up & GoGo My Walkin' Pup #ChosenByKids
This sponsored post is brought to you by Sverve.
A few weeks ago, I shared that we would be visiting a Holiday Toyland event at a Wal-mart near us on October 4th. This was a great opportunity to not only get out of the house, but let the kids check out some of the latest toys. They had the opportunity to test out the toys there, which Joe and I found very beneficial so we'd get an idea if they really liked the toy or not. How many times do you get the kids a toy at Christmas and then they never really touch it? You can check out locations and dates for the rest of this year's Toyland events.
Our family got the chance to take home the FurReal Friends Get Up & GoGo Walkin' Pup from Hasbro. This interactive puppy has quickly become a family favorite. While this toy is four ages four and up, our 20 month old has actually taken quite a liking to it! Ever since we purchased it, Hallie has been quite attached to it, calling it her "Dog-Dog". The GoGo Walkin' Pup was nicely packaged and easy to take out of the box (we all know what a nightmare that can be!) It requires the use of 4 size "C" batteries. For as much as this toy has been played with, I can also tell you that it doesn't drain batteries quickly.
Getting away from the technical specifications you may have been wondering about, let's talk about what kids enjoy about this toy. Kids can talk to this pet, give it commands, pet it, and walk it. What I like about it is that my kids have been asking for a pet dog, but this is gives them a good alternative until we are ready to take on the responsibility of a family dog.
Also, there's an app available that provides kids another way to play with the dog. The GoGo Walkin' Pup can be fed, walked, and make friends on the app. She can even take a shower. We tried out the app and thought it was a lot of fun!

Here's a short clip of the GoGo Walkin' Pup in action! Avery is the one talking in the clip, along with Cheyenne sticking her fingers in the dog's mouth (at least she won't get bit?), and Hallie petting it.
