Children's Christmas Reading List!
Hi everyone! First of all, I'm so sorry for the lack of blog posts from me in the last several weeks. My hyperemesis gravidarum is not letting up and is a daily occurrence in my life. I can barely keep up with day to day life, so blog posts will be few and far between until I start feeling better.
I wanted to share some of our favorite Christmas books this month! I missed doing a November reading round up due to my sickness, but I hope you enjoy this list. I think these books make a great addition for a gift, classroom, or just because. :)
Seriously, how cute is this book?! My kids are in love with this story and we read it almost every day. Available at Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon, Little Blue Truck's Christmas is a delightful story that follows the little blue truck as he delivers Christmas trees to all of the animals. At the very end, there is a flashing Christmas tree! It was a special surprise that my kids just loved.
Of course, most of us know the Christmas classic, 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. I just had to read this timeless story to my children this year since it was one of my favorites as a child.
Winter Bees & Other Poems of the Cold is a beautifully illustrated book of poems about how animals and plants live in the cold. I've read other poetry collections by Joyce Sidman and she never fails to impress me! My children loved learning about beavers especially. Be sure to check out this great book.
We've been enjoying this book on our Kindle app. Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas by DK Simoneau brings a new twist to Santa's adventure delivering presents...because nothing goes as planned! This book features colorful, bright illustrations aimed to please a child of any age. Be sure to add it to your reading list!
I hope you find some books to enjoy on this list. What are some of your favorite Christmas books?
