Pregnancy Update: The REAL Week 12 (Baby #5)
My last update should have been my 12 week update, but after my prenatal visit the midwife and I determined that I was really only around 10 1/2 weeks or so at that time. So now, on with the real 12 week update!
Due date: June 30th
How far along: 12 weeks, 3 days
Next appointment: January
Gender: Unkown
Total weight gain/loss: At least a 10 lb loss so far due to hyperemesis gravidarum.
Exercise: Walking and stretching with the kids since the weather was mild. But now it's too cold outside.
Stretch marks: This is my fifth kid, what do you think?!
Swelling: None
Maternity clothes: Out for the comfort of them, but I live in sweatpants anyway. ;)
Belly button: Too early for that
Sleep: Not enough. I've been really exhausted lately.
Food cravings: Anything with protein...lots of peanut butter!
Symptoms: Extreme exhaustion. The hyperemesis seems to be letting up this week. *knock on wood* My breast milk has also changed quite a bit and Hallie is having a hard time adjusting to that.
Movement: I swear I've felt a couple of flutters here and there.
Labor signs: Too early for that.
What I miss: Having more energy.
What I'm loving: NOT getting sick to my stomach all day long.
What I'm looking forward to: Enjoying Christmas next week!
Best moment this week: The Unisom solving most of my hyperemesis issues. Again... *knock on wood*

You are coming right along nicely. Craving peanut butter isn't so bad.. I have heard worse. I used to crave watermelon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your pregnancy. You're almost out of the first trimester!
ReplyDeleteWow, 12 weeks already. It goes by so fast, doesn't it? Baby will be here before you know it.
ReplyDeleteI had some of the best maternity shirts - I wore them for so long after my son was born. (I'm tempted to pull them out again, even though we aren't expecting.) Here's hoping for a smooth, healthy rest-of-your pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling much better as far as the sickness is concerned! Now you just need some energy!
ReplyDeleteI am wishing you a little rest this holiday season. Hopefully you will be able to find some.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of hyperemesis. It definitely sounds horrible but at least you have help,
ReplyDeleteAre you having a home birth? I did and it was awesome. I want another baby but hubs says no! lol You're going to do great!
ReplyDeleteAww congratulations on baby number 5 (I must be so behind!) I look forward to following your journey :) x
ReplyDeleteI bet you are quite tired. Glad you are able to solve some of your hyperemesis issues. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHope the Unisom continues to help with your hyperemesis! That sounds really rough to deal with.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I craved pb during my pregnancy. Now chocolate chip cookie dough was a whole other story! Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're doing really well with the pregnancy, I hope you have an amazing Christmas!
ReplyDeletehyperemesis gravidarum I have not heard of it before I hope you can start feeling rested and more energized soon and congratulations.
ReplyDelete5th kid, stretch marks? OF COURSE! They're your battle scars and you should be proud :)
ReplyDeleteI had a problem keeping everything down when I was pregnant too. I had a cream made at a compounding pharmacy to help with it and it worked great.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better! Happy 12 weeks!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you'll be able to enjoy the holidays in a good stage! Christmas dinner is going to be sweet!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great Christmas and continue to feel better. I was very sick with both of my pregnancy's until the seventh month it is terrible to feel sick all the time.
ReplyDeleteWeek 12 was always a turning point in pregnancy for me. I hope you feel better over the holidays!
